A journalist at a pro-Beijing newspaper was bound over by a Hong Kong court for the next 12 months, after government lawyers dropped their charge of making a false statement. However, another journalist was convicted earlier of the same offense in her documentary about police misconduct.

繼香港電台《鏗鏘集》編導蔡⽟玲查⾞牌案後,⼀名《⼤公報》記者亦因⾞牌查冊事宜被拘控,律政司申請以簽保守行為了事。被告最終獲准以2,000元簽保守行為12個月,另須付堂費1,000元。
